Is Atlant or Propy your direct competition?
We don't see either Propy or Atland as direct competition. Our model is very different. I don’t think it’s realistic to be able to trade equity on the blockchain and have jurisdictions globally recognize ownership.
We have a very different approach. The real estate remains the property of the original owner and only “licensed to profit” are traded.
Bitproperty’s local entity will have a contract with the original owner and accept ETH into the asset token contract. ETH blockchain only distributes income gathered from the original owner.
It would be great if we could work with legislators worldwide, put land registries on the blockchain and allow trading equity freely. It might be possible in certain countries to implement this on a small scale, but in the vast majority of economies this will never be realized.
Even in traditional sales there are usually restrictions on who or what can own land. e.g. in Switzerland, non Swiss citizens may not purchase swiss land. Even Swiss corporations with foreign investors can’t buy Swiss land.
Switzerland is an extreme example but similar lighter restrictions exist in most of the world and deregulation is politically difficult.
